BIOGRAPHY
OF JENIFER & LARRY WOLF
My
birth place was Manchester England. I have two children, a daughter
and son. This is a little bit of Trivia for our friends in the UK -
my Father was Head Chef on the Royal Train travelling from London, England
to Edinburgh, Scotland, also on the Britannia for the King and Queen
before the War.
Prior
to my Dance career, I first earned bars and competed in Ontario and
Michigan, then took a judicators course and taught adult classes in
Compulsory Dance Roller Skating as a Professional Skater. This has contributed
to my knowledge and unique style to dancing.
This
wife and husband dancing duo have been teaching together for the past
5 1/2 yrs, however, Jenifer has been teaching much longer, and has taught
all forms of dance since 1985, after receiving her Teacher's training
at Fred Astaire Studios, before that took many lessons and competed.
She has furthered her studies and training, to teach and judicate with
Country Western Dance International CWDI, WSDC through the Golden State
Dance Teacher's Association (GSDTA). using the Universal Unit System.
have taken teacher's training through the Vancouver School Board.
Have choreographed, competed, and won in various Country Western Dance
Competitions such as Two Step, Waltz, Jive & West Coast Swing, Polka,
and Shottice'. It is important to have started at the bottom and experience
all of this before taking any teacher's training. I believe, as many
other certified instructors do, that it is important to have experience
and knowledge to pass on to your students in class. Today, Jenifer is
active in in choreography.
Being
a certified judicator in line, teams and couples dancing, as a Gold
member of the WSDC (West Coast Swing) and a certified instructor through
them, and Country Western Dance International (CWDI), has taught and
been a Head Judicator for couples, teams and line dancing in Australia,
Arizona, California, Ontario, Alberta. Have been invited to be This
gives me the opportunity to travel and meet some new dancers. Have been
the President, Western Canada Regional Director, and webmaster for CWDI.

Am the Event Director for Vancouver Vibrations
Dance Festival, a sanctioned event, held at the Sheraton Hotel in Surrey
and we
were co-hosts for the event D4D,
Was an entertainment (dance) Director for Canada Place, in Downtown
Vancouver, BC
Had had several line dances published in The Linedancer Magazine in
the UK, also in a Western Magazine.
To mention a couple that were chosen competition dances. are Celtic
Slide, an easy and fun beginner dance, 4 Minus 3 Equals Zero first place
winner in choreography, an intermediate waltz.
Teach
for Community Centres and the School Boards in various areas.
Give private dance lessons and teach for party's and special groups.
and give demos at many places.
Worked
for many years as a hairstylist, the requests
I get from dancers and other performers to cut and style their hair
is an additional bonus to the over all presentation.
Bio
of Larry - Larry has been dancing with Jenifer for 14 years. He has
been teaching line dancing with her for the past 5 yrs, and is the DJ
for all their ho down party's.
Larry was the event co-ordinator, and scorer for the competitions at
Vancouver Vibrations Dance Festival.
When first meeting my wife, Jenifer, I was a beginner dancer, she taught
me much more and brought my dance level up, then spent time training
me to teach line dancing.
Larry is an Applied Science Technologist and was a part time certified
Ski instructor in BC., before he started to dance.
Together we share our passion for dance and music with others through
teaching.
When
not dancing, we each have a motorcylce, riding them every chance we
get. have taken trips up to the Yukon and through the Canadian Rockies,
across Canada to Nova Scotia, Cape Bretton Island, back through the
USA and down to Sturgis South Dakata, back up to Vancouver, British
Columbia. We are both Chapter Educators for a motorcycle
club.
We have moved as of last July 1st., closer to the Canadian Rockes,
have 2 Jack Russell pups, which we enjoy very much.
Go out on our Quad riding in the back country when we are not
riding our motorcycles, have been doing a lot of gardening.
Now teaching in our new area, enjoying the area and people, plus
we have a lot of family living out this way which we see often.
Of course goes without saying, we miss the people we came to know
well.
