Worldwide Dance Instruction Survey Click here for line dance results In October, 2002, Dodee Davis (LnDancer@aol.com) took over the survey. After the first couple of months, there was a change in criteria. Previously, if one teacher taught more than one class in the same city, it was only counted as one teach. Currently, it is counted by the number of different classes to which the same dance is taught. The results along with past surveys are displayed on the following web sites: (click above for the list on this site) http://www.triode.net.au/~dragon/wdi/ Thanks to Kathy Sharpe-Arrant, Dave in Australia, Jenifer Wolf in Vancouver, BC, Canada & Peter Blowski, for hosting the results. Survey compiled by Dodee Davis FAQ Who can contribute
to the survey?
Judy McDonald (Canada)-----------
judy@danceline.ca The accuracy and importance of the survey is magnified by the number of areas and teachers represented. If only a few teachers submit their lists, the results are easily skewed. Can I submit my own
dances? My instructor doesn't
have a computer. Can I send in dances, even if I'm not an instructor? Do I count a review
when I really re-teach the dance? Can I get the results
sent directly to my email address? Is there a deadline? Is there a preferred
format for submitting dances? Name of dance;choreographer;state,
country or province abbreviation-# of times taught, if more than one.
Please do not put 1, if it has only been taught once. Most of the time spent in compiling the list is in reformatting the entries. designer
